5-Year-Old With Brain Cancer Gets A Visit From The Amazing Spider-Dad

Mike Wilson is the amazing Spider-Dad! To surprise his son Jayden on his 5th birthday, the terrific father had a custom replica Spider-Man suit fashioned to turn him into the amazing Spider-Dad for one very special day.

Unfortunately, Jayden has been diagnosed with a Grade 4 Brain Stem Tumor, which leaves him with only one year to live (based on an average). As he’s battling brain cancer, his father wanted to make what could be his last birthday extra special with this suprise visit.

He managed to capture the moment of the amazing Spider-Dad hopping off the roof to stun the 5 year old son with a GoPro camera. After introducing himself and asking Jayden how old he is, he gave him a hug and they went inside the house to hang out. Who wouldn’t want to spend a day with a superhero?!

5 year old Jayden was blown away that Spider-Man would come to see him on his birthday and couldn’t have been happier. We wish Jayden and his family all the best in his fight against cancer.

According to the Hope For Jayden Facebook page, he’s still in the fight and going strong, “Is all gone a little crazy since Jayden’s Dad uploaded the Spiderman birthday surprise video for Jayden. We just want to say a massive thank you for all the kind comments. The last few weeks have been tough but reading everyone’s kind messages has really boosted is up. Jayden is doing well and continues to have some encouraging signs of improvement with his left arm and leg. Keep fighting the fight little man. You are the real super hero!”

About Sascha Brian

Sascha Brian
Known around here as "the German", I am indeed German, but have also spent some time traveling the world. With 10 years of my life spent in the United States, rumor has it that I may even know how to grill a great burger. I don't wear socks with sandals any longer, but I still drink beer and eat sauerkraut like a German. When I'm not writing about motivational and inspirational people on Like A Boss, I can usually be found lifting things up and putting them back down in my garage gym (a.k.a. the dungeon).
