Us The Duo’s Mashup Of 2014’s Top Hits Is Brilliant

So I’m browsing through YouTube earlier and I come across this bosslike music video I just had to share with you.

The two talented members of the ‘folk-pop’ duo appropriately named Us The Duo are husband Michael and wife Carissa. Three years ago, they met, fell in love, made a bunch of music together, and eventually got married.

Now they travel, play music, and post amazing mashups of hit songs on YouTube. It doesn’t get more boss than that and they’ve been featured on numerous large websites (i.e. BuzzFeed) with their brilliant pop song covers. Many of their videos have gone viral and this is no exception.

The two and a half minute mash-up of the top pop hits 2014 has had to offer has already managed to reel in more than 3 million views over the course of maybe a week or so that it’s been online. If their marriage is anything like their music, then this couple is going to be happily together for life.

We can’t wait to see — or should I say listen to — more of their brilliant work in the future. Below is a quick list of the hit songs they covered in the 2.5 minute mash-up above to give us a nice chance to reminisce about the past year and what it has provided us with music-wise.

“All Of Me” – John Legend
“Shake It Off” – Taylor Swift
“A Sky Full of Stars” – Coldplay
“Am I Wrong” – Nico & Vinz
“Chandelier” – Sia
“Break Free” – Ariana Grande
“All About That Bass” – Meghan Trainor
“Happy” – Pharrell Williams
“Maps” – Maroon 5
“Rude” – Magic!
“Problem” – Ariana Grande
“Rather Be” – Clean Bandit ft. Jesse Glynne

12 songs in 2.5 minutes is a great reflection on how quickly things change in the world we live in today. Things are always moving and improving. Are you ready for 2015?!

About Sascha Brian

Sascha Brian
Known around here as "the German", I am indeed German, but have also spent some time traveling the world. With 10 years of my life spent in the United States, rumor has it that I may even know how to grill a great burger. I don't wear socks with sandals any longer, but I still drink beer and eat sauerkraut like a German. When I'm not writing about motivational and inspirational people on Like A Boss, I can usually be found lifting things up and putting them back down in my garage gym (a.k.a. the dungeon).
