We often find ourselves hungry, but unable to shop for ingredients to make a nice home cooked meal. Maybe we don’t have time or we just don’t feel like it, but the solution is pretty simple: Three-ingredient recipes!
A lot of the following eight recipes contain ingredients you may already have at home. Each one only requires three ingredients and they are all delicious. So if you’re trying to be efficient in the kitchen like a boss, these recipes will help you do that.
#1: Delicious Nutella Brownies

Look at them. Just look at them! They’re beautiful. Eating a whole batch doesn’t seem like it would be a problem. (Maybe a health problem.)
The ingredients: Eggs, flour and Nutella
Specifically: 2 eggs, 1/2 cup flour, 1 1/4 cup of Nutella
How to make them: 
– Grease a 9×9″ baking pan and preheat your oven to 350°F.
– Mix the ingredients in a bowl (with a BIG wooden spoon).
– Once the brownie batter is smooth and creamy, pour it into the baking pan.
– Smooth the top with a spatula.
– Bake for 15 minutes.
– Stick a toothpick into the brownies. If it comes out clean, they’re done!
– Allow the brownies to set and cool before you cut and serve them.
#2: Creamy Mac & Cheese

This is probably the strongest poverty dinner we have ever seen. I’m not saying you have to be poor to enjoy some delicious macaroni & cheese like this, but it’s probably still an option even if you are poor. Now… we’re not saying poverty is a laughing matter, but this mac & cheese recipe will make your tummy very happy. It’s an extremely delectable alternative to a frozen dinner.
The ingredients: Milk, pasta shells (or any other type of pasta really) and cheddar cheese
Specifically: 2 cups milk, 2 cups pasta shells, 1 cup white cheddar cheese
How to make it:
– Throw the milk and pasta into a medium saucepan.
– Over medium heat, bring the two-ingredient mixture to a simmer.
– Cook for 20 minutes. Stir often and make sure the milk doesn’t boil.
– Once the pasta is al dente, remove it from heat and add the cheese.
– Stir until the cheese is melted.
– To make it creamier, add more milk. Salt to taste.
#3: Peanut Butter Cookies

It’s peanut butter in a cookie. I don’t know what else you need to know to try this one! Bonus: They’re gluten free.
The ingredients: Peanut butter, sugar and eggs
Specifically: 1 cup peanut butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg
How to make them:
– Preheat your oven to 350°F.
– Stir the ingredients together until the mixture is nice and smooth.
– Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
– Scoop 1″ balls onto the baking sheet.
– Form a criss cross pattern on top of the balls by pressing a fork into them from opposite directions.
– These cookies will not spread, so feel free to put all the cookies on a single tray.
– Bake for 12 minutes, then let cool on the tray for 1-2 minutes before moving the cookies onto a wire rack to complete the cooling process.
#4: Energy Bars

In case you need enough power from healthy energy bars to wrestle a bear, these are a fantastic go to snack.
The ingredients: Nuts, dates and dried fruit
Specifically: 1 cup nuts (i.e. almonds), 1 cup (12-15 whole) pitted dates, 1 cup dried fruit (whatever you want)
How to make them:
– If you want to roast the nuts, you can. Place them in the oven for 10-12 minutes at 350°F and then allow them to cool.
– Combine all the ingredients in a food processor. Pulse a few times to break everything up. If the dates stick together, separate them.
– Process continuously for 30 seconds.
– Once all the ingredients are chopped into crumb-sized pieces, scrape the edges of the bowl and under the blade to make sure nothing is sticking.
– Process continuously for 1-2 minutes until a ball is formed.
– Dump the mixture onto wax paper or plastic wrap and form a 8×8″ square. Wrap and chill for at least an hour (preferably overnight).
– Unwrap the chilled energy bar square and cut it into individual bars.
– Wrap each bar in plastic wrap or wax paper.
– The energy bars can be stored in your refrigerator for several weeks and up to three months in your freezer.
#5: Peanut Butter Cups

Peanut butter and chocolate is an incredible combination. If you’ve never had a Reese’s peanut butter cup, I don’t even know what to tell you. Either way, make these. They’re awesome!
The ingredients: Peanut butter, chocolate chips and sea salt
Specifically: 1/4 cup peanut butter (or almond butter), 1/2 cup chocolate chips, sea salt
How to make them:
– Melt the chocolate chips until smooth in a double boiler. If you don’t have a double boiler, buy one or make one like this.
– Lay out parchment candy cups or use a mini muffin pan.
– Put a layer of chocolate in the bottom of each cup.
– Form a peanut ball the size of a small grape and place it in the middle of each cup.
– Cover the peanut butter in a layer of melted chocolate.
– Sprinkle a tiny bit of sea salt on top.
– Let the peanut butter cups set in the freezer for 15-30 minutes.
– Keep your delightfully delicious peanut butter cups chilled like a boss!
#6: Pulled Pork

If you enjoy a nice pulled pork sandwich, then you can’t go wrong with this three ingredient recipe that is surprisingly good for how simple it is.

#7: Buttermilk Biscuits

Mmm, who doesn’t love a nice fluffy buttermilk biscuit? These little bastards are so scrumptious, it’s going to make you wish you never tried them in the first place. You may find yourself trying to fight off the addiction and the buttermilk biscuits will have a stronger hold on you than even heroin could.
The ingredients: Self-rising flour, vegetable shortening and buttermilk
Specifically: 2 cups self rising flour (plus some to flour your board), 1/4 cup vegetable shortening (plus some to grease your pan), 3/4 cup buttermilk
How to make them:
– Preheat oven to 475°F.
– Lightly coat rimmed baking sheet or cast iron skillet with shortening.
– Toss your flour into a mixing bowl and cut in the shortening with a pastry blender, two forks or two knives.
– When the flour and shortening are well-combined, slowly pour in the buttermilk and stir gently.
– Pour the dough onto a floured countertop or dough board.
– Pat and/or roll to 1/2″ thickness.
– Cut out biscuits using a 2 inch biscuit cutter or a cup.
– Place biscuits on baking sheet or skillet. Leave an inch between biscuits.
– Bake for 10-12 minutes.
#8: Mini Potato Skins

Oh you… you had us at potatoes and bacon!
The ingredients: Potatoes, cream cheese and BACON
Specifically: 1lbs red potatoes, 4oz cream cheese, 4 slices of bacon
How to make them:
– Boil the potatoes in salted water until they’re tender. This should take 10 minutes. Drain them.
– While the potatoes cook, fry the bacon slices. Let them cool and crumble them.
– Once the potatoes are drained and cool enough to handle, cut each one in half and scoop the insides out into a bowl.
– Leave 1/8″ thick potato shells. Lay them on a baking sheet.
– Mix the insides of the potatoes with your bacon crumbles and cream cheese.
– Spoon the filling you’ve created into the potato shells.
– Bake them for 15-20 minutes at 350°F.
