Peanut butter can be traced back to its origins with the Aztecs, who ground peanuts into paste to basically make a poverty version of the peanut butter we often enjoy today. Since then, it has improved a lot in taste thanks to numerous inventions and innovations in the peanut butter game, but it still remains a staple in many diets.
While we will include some of our favorite peanut butter foods in this list, there are also numerous other uses for peanut butter you may not even know about yet.
1. Peanut Butter as Shaving Cream

We don’t usually condone shaving beards, but some guys can only grow terrible facial hair and are better off without it. In that case, use peanut butter to shave that baby face of yours. Peanut butter is cheaper than shaving cream and also contains oils that help moisturize your skin. The moisturizing ability should win over a few ladies as well.
2. Peanut Butter to Murder Ants

If you don’t want to deal with ants anymore, the following recipe will massacre every ant it attracts (ALL of them): Mix 2 tablespoons of peanut butter, 2 tablespoons of honey, and half a teaspoon of boric acid powder. Congratulations! You’re equipped to commit mass (ant) murder now.
3. Fix a Scratched CD

If you managed to scratch up a CD or DVD so badly that you can no longer use it, rub some peanut butter on it and wipe it off with a dry cloth. Problem solved! Thank you, peanut butter, you’re so damn helpful my old friend!
4. Remove Gum from Hair with Peanut Butter

You can use peanut butter as a gum remover thanks to the natural oils contained within it. Remove gum from hair, carpets and/or clothes with the magic oiliness of peanut butter!
5. Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl Milkshake

Lawd… this looks so delicious. Thank you once again, peanut butter. Grab the recipe here.
6. Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Cups

We featured these in a previous article and they are still utterly amazing!
7. Peanut Butter is Filled with Vitamins and Minerals

A ton of vitamins (i.e. Vitamin B3) and minerals (i.e. magnesium) can be obtained by eating peanut butter, along with fiber (it helps you poop). This is where that delicious AND nutritious thing comes in that we talked about earlier.
8. Eliminate Fried Fish Odor

If you notice a fishy odor in your home after frying some fish, toss some peanut butter in the same pan you used to fry the fish and fry that for a few minutes. The peanut butter will miraculously purify the air and get rid of the fishy odor! It’s science or magic… one of the two.
9. Peanut Butter as Delivery System for Animal Medication

Sometimes it can be difficult to give your cat or dog their meds, so slap those pills in a spoonful of peanut butter to make the process much easier! Bonus: The oil in the peanut butter can help improve their coat and make them look shinier!
10. Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie Sundae

How could we possibly end this article with anything better than that? It’ll probably give you a horrible case of the BEETUS, but who cares? You’ll be happy you stuffed your face with this magnificent peanut butter dessert sent directly from the heavens. You can grab the recipe here.
And with that… we conclude our list. Mmm peanut butter.
