Drug Lord Cartel Leader Killed In Mexico

Cartel Leader And Drug Lord “El Mencho” Killed In Mexico By Mexico Authorities

Mexico has finally grown some balls and started fighting against the cartels that have been running rampant in Mexico since the early 1980s. Authorities of Mexico planned a raid where El Mencho was staying. They went in and killed him. Since then the cartel has been burning dozens of cars in the city and neighboring state.

El Mencho was a HUGE cartel figure. Think of El Chapo or even Pablo Escobar size. That’s how big El Mencho was in the modern day.

“El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes was the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), which was one of the most craziest and most violent gangs EVER. For years he built CJNG into a dominant force in the drug trade, responsible for smuggling massive quantities of drugs, including fentanyl, into the United States and using brutal violence to control territory and defeat rivals.

El Mencho was one of the most wanted criminals in the world, with the U.S. offering up to $15 million for information leading to his capture. His cartel was known for military-style firepower and a willingness to take on Mexican security forces. They didn’t give a shit!

On February 22, 2026, Mexican military and security forces tracked him to Tapalpa, which is in the state of Jalisco. During a firefight between Mexican military and the cartel, El Mencho was wounded and later died while being evacuated to a hospital. His death marks one of the biggest blows yet against organized crime leadership in Mexico. Now let’s see what the CJNG does. So far they’ve been burning random ass cars and engaging in firefights with the Mexican Military.
