Nathen Steffel, a grieving father, made a Photoshop request for his daughter Sophia, who passed away at just six weeks old. Because she spent her entire short life in a hospital, the parents were never able to get a picture of Sophia without tubes. Suffering from a hepatic hemangioma in her liver, she passed away due to complications while on the waiting list for a new liver.
The original request read like this: “Photoshop Request: My daughter recently passed away after a long battle in the children’s hospital. Since she was in the hospital her whole life, we never were able to get a photo without all her tubes. Can someone remove the tubes from this photo?”

Below is the picture random strangers on the Internet were asked to Photoshop.

And boy did they deliver! Nathen received numerous edited images and sketches of his daughter Sophia without tubes. He said, “At first there was so many responses I couldn’t even keep up reading them. I stayed up until 3am that night trying to respond to everyone who had seemed to have a similar experience. It helped knowing that others cared enough to stop whatever they were doing in their own lives to either send me a picture or just their condolences. It’s just awesome that this story and her pictures have touched so many people.”
Below are a few examples of the great photoshopped pictures and drawings of Sophia.

The father was extremely thankful. He said, “We are going to hang up a few of our favorite photos and drawings. Also some of the artists were nice enough to mail us the pictures they made.”
We wish Nathen Steffel and his wife all the best. RIP Sophia.
