Cleaning can be a huge hassle, but if you don’t clean your home it will end up being completely repulsive to live in like an abandoned house from a horror movie. Be thorough and efficient when you clean like a boss using the following tips and tricks!

1. Sanitize a Sponge

Sponges harbor more bacteria than a public restroom. (We completely made that up, but the point is there are a lot of bacteria in there!) Solution: Zap them in the microwave for a couple of minutes to kill all that stuff! Two minutes in the microwave will kill 99% of germs in your sponges. (We didn’t make that up.)

2. Clean Cabinets

Go take a look at how dirty your cabinet doors are right now. We bet they’re pretty dirty or maybe we’re just completely disgusting? Either way, clean those bastards with one part vegetable oil and two parts baking soda! Use a toothbrush to hit the small areas. Check out how fresh and clean your cabinets could be after!

3. Clean Small Toys

To clean small toys like a true boss, you’ll need a laundry bag. Put the small toys (i.e. legos) in the laundry bag and wash them. The same concept can be applied in a dishwasher.

4. Clean Cookie Sheets Without Scrubbing

If your cookie sheets look rusty, grimey and generally grotesque, here is a simple solution for you: Put a cup of baking soda in a bowl and squirt in hydrogen peroxide until it makes a nice paste. Smear that “miracle cleaner” on the cookie sheet, wait a few hours and wipe it off. Your cookie sheet should be about as clean as it’s gonna get again!

5. Clean Fan Blades

Use a pillow case to clean fan blades with ease. Wrap the fan blades in the pillow case, wipe the dust off and you’re done! Bonus: No freakin’ dust in your face!

6. Clean Between Oven Glass

We had no idea there was even a way to clean there! Apparently you can get in there like some kind of wild-ass ninja or something. Remove the drawer below the oven, attach some disinfectant wipes or a wet cloth to the hook end of a wire hanger you straightened out, and slide it up in there between the glass to clean it! Now you can check on your food through the oven glass just like you did when your oven was brand new!

7. Remove Label Stickers

If you’ve ever bought some dishes with sticker labels, you probably know it tends to take FOREVER to remove those things. Well, that’s where we come in with this boss tip: Put the labeled dishes in your sink and fill it with warm water. Add a scoop of OxiClean and wait 30 minutes. The labels will be floating in the water! It’s magic or something like it.

8. Clean Your Iron

If you have some debris or dirt stuck to your iron, that’s a no go bro! You have to clean that thing. What you do is pour salt liberally onto your ironing board, then turn your iron to the highest setting with the steam option turned to OFF. And then? And then you iron that salt like a boss! That’s what you have to do to make your iron shiny like whoa!

9. Remove Pet Hair from Carpet

If you have a cat, a dog or an entire zoo living in your house, you probably have a fair amount of pet hair stuck to your carpet at times. Use a squeegee (cool word AND a sweet tool) to remove it. See! This thing isn’t just for cleaning windows.

10. Clean Electronics

Attach a ketchup bottle top to a shopvac and use it to clean your keyboard, mic, phone, computer, or any other electronic device where you need to suck dust, dirt and crumbs out of tiny spaces!
