Roy Hofheinz was a boss. In 1965, he built the Astrodome – a covered stadium for the Houston Astros and Houston Oilers, which included a private man cave for him!

Before that he was the Mayor of Houston, among other things, and just generally lived a bosslike life. In the picture below, you can see Hofheinz look out over his insanely badass ‘backyard’!

When you’re done enjoying the view (if you happen to be chillin’ with Roy), you can hit up his private bar called ‘The Tipsy Tavern’. Bring on the booze!

Maybe you’re hungry. Why not dine with a beautiful view of the field?

If there isn’t a game going on and you just want to relax and watch a movie or two, stroll on down to the private movie theatre!

Maybe you’re a little more active and don’t just want to sit there watching a movie. No problem! Roy’s crib has you covered with a billiards room, a bowling alley and putting green combo, and of course a shooting range. It is Texas afterall!

There is also a sweet playground for the kids. Adults can’t have all the fun.

Need a cut & shave? Go to the barber shop.

And if you brought a special lady friend as well, she can get pampered at the beauty salon.

Because Roy Hofheinz was such a bosslike gentleman, he also had to get some work done in his office. Of course he also had a baller conference room for meetings!

Hopefully this doesn’t make you too depressed about your own man cave. We’re sure it’s still nice! Everything is bigger in Texas.
